With the world living in a fast paced cultured society were things like instant coffee, microwaves, fast food help fuel lives of people who are focused on their pursuit of their dreams and at times forgetting their eternal perspective. At times what makes the Father’s Heart glad and the cry of a wandering soul seems so distant and dimmed.Jesus said ” There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke. 15:10). ” The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you , not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9). But the truth is that their are still billions of people in our generation who are still unreached with the Gospel.
Remember the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering; you are to receive the offering FOR ME for each man whose heart prompts him to give. These are the offerings you are to recieve from them: Gold, Silver… Then have them make a sanctuary for me and I will dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:1-3)
Think about this, the Israelites were slaves in Egypt. How did they get gold and silver? God said to Moses, “And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed towards this people,…Every woman is to ask her neighbor…articles of silver, Gold and clothing…” (Exodus 3:21-22). So the Egyptians gave gold, silver, etc…to the Israelite women, because God inspired their hearts to give. What was the purpose behind the gold and silver, to make a sanctuary for God so that He can dwell with them?
In 2 Corinthians we read, “we are the temple of God, God dwells in us through the Holy Spirit”. What a wonderful privilege! God dwells in us. Jesus said, “If a man loves me, he will keep my words; and my father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him” (John 14:23)
There are millions of unsaved people who are still in the villages of India. God desires to dwell in them also. God desires His people to go and share the gospel with them. So that He can dwell in them. How can they believe in the one of whom, they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Ad how can they preach unless they are sent? (Roman 10:14-15)
